| Guess what I did today Sprained my ankle. I was at work and I was walking and my foot decided it didnt want to go the way I was going. OMG did it hurt. I kept ice on it the rest of trhe day at work. Now my whole foot is swollen. Jay wants me to go to the ER. I said not for a sprained ankle and swollen foot. If its not any better or gets worse then I will go to the dr.

| Sorry to hear that. I hope your foot and ankle will start feeling better soon. Definitely elevate your ankle, put ice on it, and take an anti-inflammatory to keep the swelling down. If it isn't better in a couple of days, a visit to the doctor might be in order to make sure nothing is broken. My DM has osteoporosis and has had multiple fractures in both legs and feet. Sometimes it might seem like there is just a sprain there when in fact there could be a hairline fracture. Healing  on the way!

| Thank you everyone for the advice and the pixies. This morning I woke up and the top of my foot was still really sore and swollen. I put some ice on it and took ibuprofrin and now it's much better. No pain and swelling has gone down. It still hurts a bit but not like it did. At least now I can put weight on it and walk.
