| Thanks for the Pixies Our niece is going to be alright. She was in surgery for a few hours, but seems like things will work out (there was some damage to her uterus!). When I spoke to BiL this late AM, the Dr.s were talking of sending her home - but she lives in the dorm, and her parents didn't seem to understand that she really shouldn't be going THERE right away! I called one of our other nieces, who is a couple of years older than Allison and at the same college, and she's going to keep an eye on her. I guess there are a few morals to this: 1.) Don't go tubing with kids who don't know about safety 2.) When you go with them anyway and get hurt - CALL an Ambulance!! (Allison's friends drove her to her mother's house - an hour away, and then her mother drove her PAST their home-town hospital to one another 30 minutes away!!) 3.) Make sure you attend a college your cousins do, so they can help you out when you need it.
