| I so admire you and the other nurses that do what you do. Thats something I couldnt do. I was a Respiratory Therapy Aide for 2 years and I know that the babies are the worst. It was just more than I could take. Even though we were a really small hospital when we had a "bad" baby, I was just a basket case, second guessing everything I knew I was supposed to do. Thankfully, we didnt get to many babies, but the ones we did get in that 2 years I remember every one of them. I hope your days get better

| Thank you for what you do and I totally understand the need to vent. My DH is a detective and has seen some pretty horrible stuff over the years. I encourage him to talk about it to 'get it out' and be able to wake up the next day to do it all over again. My DD was 3 weeks early (induced) and came out blue w/cord around her neck...and no nurse in the room. Only DH and Doc holding my limp baby yelling for help tot he point that DH had to run into the hall to look for help. Anyway, she spent some time in the NICU and had the first of many surgeries at 6 weeks old. When your first child has six surgeries in her first 5 months of life it's tough to get through without awesome nurses. I thank God i had some of those women there with me during the long nights of her recovery. From all the moms that have needed the compassion and experience of a good nurse for their baby: I say THANK YOU.
