| Gift Opinions My mom is throwing a surprise 50th b-day party for her husband with a Margaritaville theme. In keeping with the theme, I wanted to give a monetary gift. I've been online looking for ideas and came up with this on my own. Do you think it's weird or kinda cool? I'm going to freeze dollar coins in ice cubes - 25 of them, as I think half-dollars might be too big and 50 would be too many - and put the ice cubes inside a blender for presentation. I'll keep the cubes frozen until it's time to give the gift. |

| That is such a good idea!!! I did sort of the same thing with a friend of mine....but I didn't think of the ice cubes......I gave a blender and put margarita mix, bar salt, lime and a little bottles of tequila and triple sec.....not real creative, but your idea is so creative for a monetary gift....he should love it....

| Or if your concern with 50 was volume and not dollar amount, you could go with a nod to a different Buffet tune -- get the gold dollar coins, put them in a little paper or plastic chest and tag it "A Pirate Looks at $40"
