| Why is it when it rains it pours?!?! I would have been able to pay our December trip off today (and thus rest assured it's a sure thing) had I not had to take my car in for yet another expense. In the last 30 days I have had wheel bearings replaced to the tune of $750-thankfully it was a friend of the family since the dealership wanted double that. Today it was new brake pads to the tune of $178.  I know brakes usually go around this time anyway (my car is just over 3 years old) but having to do this right after wheel bearings kinda stings. Oh, and I'll need 4 new tires before the snow starts to fall. At least the bright side is I only owe $260 and have until October 23rd to come up with it for our trip.....and that the grinding noise I kept hearing wasn't the brakes grinding into the rotors, but rather a bungie cord I picked up off of the interstate that was wrapped around the insides of the tire. Talk about God-awful noises!!        |
