| San Francisco area help DD is in culinary school in New York and will be serving her externship with the Berkeley Unified School District. She will be there from the middle of November to mid April. We have to find her an apartment or other appropriate living situation for that time frame. I'm in TN and she is in NY and we know no one or nothing about the area. She will have her car, so can get to and from work. Can any of you give us some input into decent apartments in the vicinity. Elegant is totally unnecessary, but safe is important. Of course, the cheaper the better as well, up to a point of course! |

| I don't know anything about CA, but what if she calls someone at the school district? the other option would be to talking to residential life at a local university. Good luck. DS relocated to Austin for law school and found lots of information through the school-they even had a message board to help incoming first years find housing. It was password protected but I wonder if she couldn't get some access of she explained her situation. |
