| Pixies for my kitty (and kids) Skimbleshanks, the great ginger hunter, has been MIA since Sunday. He is neutered, so I know he is not out cavorting, and while he fancies himself a great hunter (he is passing fair) he is so spoiled that though he stays out all night, he is ALWAYS home for breakfast...promptlt at 0600...such polite British manners! He is healthy (just a a check-up), up to date on his shots and micro-chipped. Doesn't have a collar because he had one once and always found a way to get it off...and then hide it (very clever little kitty) and also because I had a cat when I was a little girl that actually strangled itself when it got caught by its collar on a fence...I found kitty...not pretty (please ignore the rhyme...it was unintentional). So...kids are worried, I am worried...flyers have gone up in every village pub and business within a 10-mile radius. We even put an add in the local village magazine. Please send pixies that Skimble makes it back to us safe and sound. I miss him terribly and so do the kids.

| ![]() ![]() Last Fall my never-goes-outside ginger scaredy cat Pippin got out of his carrier on the way back from the vet. What scared me was we live in bear and coyote country (Yes! in NJ). He was out for three weeks and two days when a neighbor called that he was in thier basement. He lost literally half his body weight, but was basically ok when we found him. He is now back to being his old sassy - fraidy cat self. The worst part was trying to keep up hope that he would come home. I truly hope that your story will have and equally happy ending. Don't Lose HOPE!

| We are kind of worried because Skimble has a huge fluffy tail...when you see him slinking around in the bushes he lookes like a fox...and is about the same size of a smallish one (he is 2 years old). Most of the folks around here trap or shoot foxes because they mess up the hunting for pheasant and grouse...good thing is, my landlord, such a wonderful guy, let us know he has no traps set in the vicinity and that no one has been hunting on the farm property for months...doesn't mean he could not have strayed farther. We are hoping someone has picked him up and just hasn't taken him to the vet yet to see if he is chipped, which he is... I never lose HOPE! Hope (and pixie dust) is what gets me through each day!
