HELP! Cant find shoes

I work with a lady who is very little. She wears a size 13 1/2 in kids shoes. She says the next size is a 1. I dont know how that works but we need to find her some slip resistant shoes in her size. Does anyone know where we might be able to find any? I have looed on the internet and the smallest I can find are 3s.

Are you looking for gym shoes?
Have you tried Stride Rite or Zappos.com?

Look on the kids' shoe rack. Many times you'll be able to find non character type shoes in the smaller sizes. And many times there are girls shoes that are looking more and more adult (much to a parent's chagrin) but that would probably work for your friend.

Make sure you're looking at kid's sizes, though it will be harder to find proper styles at those sizes. The sizing is approximately:
Infant: 1 to 3
Toddler: 4 to 8
Kids: 9 to 13, then 1 to 4 in "upper sizes"

At that point, the sizes usually switch to adult sizes/racks, continuing on with 5. There are, obviously, exceptions. And each shoe is different (I wear anywhere from 8.5 - 9.5) depending on style. But there's a good chance you'll be out of luck finding adult sizes that small and will have to go into the kids' racks. However, there is a trend right now to give kids an "older" option (sigh!) so you may luck out.
