My DBF is turning 30 this May. To make a long story short the job he is in makes him miserable. He works crazy hours on little to no sleep. He's stressed because he's tired and because he has no "life," and he doesn't feel like he's doing something worth his while. He stays because in this economy he's happy to even have a job, and he gets employee paid benefits. (Which he desperately needs because he's Type I Diabetic)
We had lunch with my sister today, and we got to talking about how he needs a new job. Then, to make another long story short, she mentioned that her husbands company is about to start a new project and they need to hire some people. They had actually thought of him but didn't want to offend him by being too intrusive. It would be a regular hour job, with possibility of overtime. He would get a company vehicle, and HUGE opportunities for advancement.
I'm asking for pixies for this to all go through. It's so easy to get excited about something, and then for it to fall through the cracks. He's really excited about the change. It's a great opportunity, and he really deserves it. This would be a great 30th birthday present for him.
