I feel for you, coming from a house full of women here (poor Pat never knows who the drama is coming from on a given day).

She's an adult, treat her like one, and expect the same in return. Take no crap or foul language. She's not your child anymore, she's an adult living with you. Treat her like a roommate. That means everyone is responsible for themselves. Except for minors.

Also, she may need to be reevaluated for a side dish of something else in addition to her Aspergers. I'm finding that there are multi-layers in all these ADD/ADHD/Aspergers, and seem to come with more than one diagnosis. Fun times!

I'm sorry your having such a hard time. Treating her like a roommate is a great idea but
remember if you do this that she then may not want to help with your
younger DD's if you go that route. She is an adult and she has to act like one.
I hope you are able to cut all the drama out of your life soon...sounds as if you
need to.

I'm sorry you're having all this drama. I will have to say this, I don't care how old my children are, they aren't going to talk ugly to me or yell at me, and they both know it. I'll show them the door in a flash. I didn't talk ugly to my parents and they aren't going to talk ugly to me.
Sorry, I'm old school, can't help it. If they lived with me, which thankfully they don't, it would be, my house, my rules and not open for discussion end of subject.

Hate to tell you this, but it doesn't get any better! Ours is 32 - and the world is out to get her. She always gets stuck with the men that aren't nice to her. It has nothing to do with the choices she's made in life (not going to college, dancing at scummy strip clubs, finding men who she meets either at those strip clubs or places like it, being mean to others) WE hate her (uh, no WE don't, WE just refuse to fund any more moves or anything else she "thinks" will get her out of her horrid little life. She constantly tries to make DH and I feel bad for things her mother (not me) and the girl friend DH had before me did to her (the GF did NOTHING that we can figure out, plus that was over 22 years ago)

Must be related to my 18 year old that refused to stay in Georgia with us. He moved back to Maryland.

Oh, and my 35yo brother that has sucked the life from my dad for soo many years!!!! Dad just fired him from work this year and has quit subsidizing the rest of his life.
