LOL I meant to put that in my post too! 4 of the cats are climbing all over me when I'm trying to get it on my fingers to give them - they it!

Then there's the other 2. : thank you, they'd rather choke on fur.

Well, I guess if the switching food doesn't help, you have another option; i.e. the shrimp flavor.

the food helps. I know the love of having pets and the pains too!

Update!!

So, I have decided to stick with the same food mix and just give them 2 smaller feedings during the day and thus far...no puking!!!

Now, when I work they do get a little more to hold them overnight, but that's only really once or twice a week.

Thanks for everyones advice!

I've always free fed the cats. When the bowl is empty, it gets refilled. I've also used Nutro - no artificial dyes, so if they do throw up, it doesn't stain. I had a glorious cat, Gabby (lived to 17) who threw up and the colors would stain the concrete basement floor!

I just saw this thread and wanted to let you know that one of our cats is a special needs boy and we cannot leave food out for him - no free feeding. We feed him lots of little meals and he throws up but no where near as much as free feeding.
As long as we give him his food in little installments, he's happy - it's not the size of the meal that makes him happy, just the food in general and now he looks forward to it.
