My daughter is in 5th grade and every year the county has a contest for every 5th grader called Fomous Figures. The child has to pick a famous figure, research them, write a presentation as if they were the person, dress like them and then act out the charachter while giving the speech. My daughter has picked Walt Disney!! So...iof anyone has any suggestions for her report, we would appreciate them. Another problem is how I can make long blonde curly hair look like Walt?? Did he ever wear a hat? This is not going to be easy!!!
Yes, he frequently wore hats. Dress slacks, a long sleeve button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a tie, and a sweater (think Mr. Rogers) seem to have been his standard attire.
You could just slick her hair back. I'm wondering, are you going to give her a mustache? That would be just too cute!
OK...I bought a gray suit and red tie at Goodwill...But I cannot find a hat anywhere!! The whole theme of her act is that it is the opening day of Disney world. My MIL has mouse ears from when she was a kid...and so I thought maybe she could wear those??? What do you think? We are going to do a mustache!!!! Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. She performs this on April 22. She has done a good job on her report I think, so the costume is all that is left!!

If you can't find a hat, how about putting her hair in a bun? After that all you'll need are the mouse ears and a mustache!
I am so happy you all approve of the mouse ears. We cannot find a pixs with him wearing them...but I said who cares? I told her I would ask on here because these people know all about him!! She agreed to go with your opinions...so THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post pictures when we are done!!
