Have you ever just had one of those weeks? DD has been trying to raise money to go back to Uganda and one of the scholarships she applied for, that would pay $1000 if she "won", she just found out, she "can't" get because she applied to be a team leader (no pay involved, just more work!) I can't help her financially this year because I'm still paying for her airfare from last year.
Big pain issues with my leg and hip - which also means I can't pick up more time at work to try and make more $$ to help DD.
Bad outcomes at work and just plain nasty people making work miserable
Horrible fight with both sister and DH this week
Not so good news from the neurologist that made me cry all day on Tuesday
I know it's just a bit of a pity party and things are a lot worse for other people, but I'm tired of feeling like things are circling the drain!
Leaving for Disney one week from tomorrow and I really need this time away! Why does it always feel like things fall apart right before I have a trip coming up?

Is the scholarship off the table at this point? Meaning if she gives up the team leader position can she still be eligible?

She can't be team leader if she can't come up with the money to go, so at this point, I would give that up so I could get the scholarship.

I'm not sure if she can give up the Team Lead at this point or not. She's working two jobs right now and both of them today. DD left home at 8am and won't be home until about 10:30pm and by then I'll be sleeping for my long shift tomorrow. I won't get a chance to talk to her until tomorrow night. I just have to believe it will work out! Going to play the lottery today! It's worth a dollar of my Disney money to take a chance on that.

Thanks for the pixies! Working things out with my sister, and I don't really play the lottery, but I did buy a ticket. I like the numbers that came out. Funny thing is that if you get 5 numbers, it is exactly the amount DD needs! Wouldn't that be nice!? 6 wins the jackpot, but I'd be thrilled with a 5# match and the ability to surprise her with the funds for her trip! Oh the dreams we can dream... Just thinking about it makes me happy!
