Tomorrow morning, I have an appointment to look at a house that's for rent. It's directly across the street from my oldest DD. This house never stays rented for very long, and I can't help but wonder if there's not a divine reason .
This will be a new beginning for me. While the last few weeks have been extremely painful, I know that better times are coming. My girls have accepted that it's best that their father and I go our separate ways. It's strange, but we seem to be getting along a lot better and we communicate much more than we have for the last several years. The girls and I are excited that I could possibly be living so close to their sister and they are ready to throw me a housewarming party.
Once I'm established, I'll be looking for a job and then I'll be taking steps to see if I can enroll in the local junior college this fall. The campus is only a couple miles away, so that's definately a bonus. It's strange, but I kinda feel like I've finally grown up and will now become independent. It's funny that my girls managed to do this long before I did.
So.....I'd like to ask for some pixies for the rental house. Hopefully I can negotiate a price that I can be comfortable with.
Pixies to you for finding the right home (and that it's the house across the street from your DD).
My parents were divorced when I was an infant, remarried when I was about 6, and re-divorced when I was about 8 or 9. They always said they didn't do marriage right, they didn't get divorce right the first time, but the second time was the best. They talked, remained friends, and parented my sister and I together (later, they included my step-mama). Daddy would say "She (my mom) wasn't good at being married, but she gave good divorce."!!
I hope the same for you.
Congrats on all the changes you are making. Going to school as an older student is fun.
