One of our local paramedics was critically injured in a fall last week. He fell down a flight of stairs at his house and was fine, but a little while later he felt dizzy and confused, so he went to the ER. They found a bleed in his brain and air lifted him to our local Level 1 trauma center. He was unconscious by the time he got there and has been on a ventilator ever since.
Yesterday morning he went into cardiac arrest. They got him back but he was down for almost ten minutes. Not sure what will happen.
He has 2 young daughters and a fiancee. His first ever EMS job was with the ALS company I used manage. In fact, I hired him.
Please keep him in your thoughts. I know the power of pixies, so any you can spare would be appreciated!
