Scary, no? His mom was evacuated and is now living with him. He (and wife and kids) live on the east side of I-25 which as of now is safe. West of the highway is not as good.

That photo is stunning and yet scary at the same time.
I made it home on Wednesday and had no problem getting through Colo. Springs, other than the tears in my eyes as I watched smoke billowing out of residential neighborhoods.
The fires are really bad. Yesterday they confirmed that the Waldo Fire is now at about 18,500 acres and has destroyed 346 homes. The High Park Fire (near Fort Collins) has burned more than 87,000 acres and destroyed more than 250 homes. There are 8 other fires burning around Colorado all in differing stages of containment. It is really sad and heartbreaking.
