For the last week I've had a nagging pain near my shoulder blade. It wasn't anything too terribly painful, just annoying. And since I get that pain every 6-8 months, I know it will go away in about a week.
Around 3:00am I woke up to an excruciating pain in my upper back any time I moved. Needless to say, I wasn't able to fall back to sleep for more than 30 minutes. I am still in terrible pain and have only regained a minimal amount of movement. I feel bad because I'm a stay-at-home-mom and I have to keep telling my boys, "not right now sweetie" or "we'll have to play later because mama has bad owies right now." If it's still this bad when my fiancé gets home, I am going to the doctor (even though we can't really afford the gas - the closest same-day clinic/urgent care is 25 miles away).
Off to find my heating pad now, since the ice pack hasn't helped.
I'm not sure if I slept on it funny. I don't think I did, just because I don't really toss and turn while I sleep, and I tend to fall asleep the same way every night.
And I don't know if I want anyone massaging me right now, it hurts so bad. I feel like I'm wearing a neck brace because I literally can't turn my head without feeling like I'm going to snap my spine.
Thanks for the pixies! Looks like I might just go to the doctor. I thought trying to stretch and loosen myself up my work, but it hasn't, and it is too hot for the heating pad.
