So weird for me... We drive just everywhere, but in November I am taking a trip traveling solo to meet up with about 25 other ladies to represent our state on a mission trip in Iowa. We will be singing for several churches and for their state convention. It's exciting and scary at the same time. Fortunately my church is footing about 75% of the bill, so my OOP is probably only going to be about $200. I really shouldn't spend it, but I feel like I should go and support the effort and the group, so I'm taking a leap of faith.
I used to have a job that required me to travel occasionally, but for more than 20 years I've been a school teacher and a mom for 16 years now, so this is definitely out of my normal routine.
Since I wasn't keen on driving from Tennessee to Iowa in November, in the months to come, I'm sure I'll be asking some questions about flying!
