I'm a diabetic, on insulin. I'm in renal failure was hoping for a Kidney transplant. two weeks ago after a test I need to past for the transplant, sent me to the hospital for a week. I thought it was from the test. I have high calcium levels which isn't normal for anyone. With diabetes & renal failure it has has added more stress on my Kidneys. Dr stated I may have to go on Dialysis much sooner then I wanted. I'm hoping to hold off till the end of the year. My health is more important, it is one day at a time. See the Kidney DR on the 9th, hoping for more answers. All up lifting thought are appreciated.
I'm so sorry! You must be feeling very anxious right now.
My husband is a Type 1 diabetic so he's also on insulin. It's such a difficult disease to keep under control even when you monitor your glucose and watch every bite you eat. It's like it has a mind of its own.
Try to keep your stress level down. I know it's hard, but if you find out you need to start dialysis sooner than you expected, it's important for you to keep a positive attitude. I'll be sending positive thoughts for you and an improvement in your health.
Keep thinking good thoughts. We will all be pulling for you and praying that you find a new kidney very soon and you're able to control your diabetes. Sending lots of pixies, too.
