Unbelievable - your summer has been like a bad disaster movie. I hope your daughter's safe return on Saturday signals the return to a less stressful norm and you can get on with the happier things in life. Like getting ready for your upcoming trip!!

Good grief! You and your family have had a rough time lately! I hope your daughter is feeling better very soon! I am sure you will be thrilled when she gets back home!
Many and prayer for you!
My mother grew up in rural Mexico (her father was a missionary). She contracted malaria as a child. She used to have to drink quinine water occasionally if she started feeling bad. I haven't seen her do that in years. So people do quite well after getting it. I hope your DD is one of those!
I was able to speak to Alicia a little bit ago. She is feeling a bit better and her friends are taking good care of her. There shouldn't be any issues with her flying home on Friday. She arrives here (JFK) Saturday Morning. Thank You for all the pixies and prayers!!
I am at the point now where I am not even looking at this as a "bad" time. Honestly I just have to laugh. Sigh... if you don't laugh you cry I guess. Though I've done my share of that too. Saw a funny post on FB: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger - At this point I should be able to bench press a Buick!
