Late last week, the husband was complaining of pimple like blisters on his scalp. I didn't think anything about it. By Saturday morning, he had spots all over his torso and in his mouth. By Sunday, they were on his back and down his legs, even on the bottom of his feet.
Any guesses?
Well, he went to the Dr. today and he has the Chicken Pox! No medicine, just calamine lotion and Benedryl, if needed.
Funny thing, I told him Saturday morning that is what it was and he didn't believe me. We weren't going to pay for an emergency room visit, so he waited until this morning to get an appointment. When he called to tell me, I had to laugh. His words, "We had to pay $35 to find out you were right." And, when he was at the Dr.'s office, there were two PA's working, one of which had never seen Chicken Pox so they had to get out the medical book to make sure. I said, "You mean I have more experience than the PA's?"
Anyway, he is on the mend and if it had to happen, we are grateful for now rather than later, during our upcoming holiday vacation!
Ouch!!! I have to get my ds boosted and we were just talking about it today too.
Oh, I got those suckers when I was 25 yrs old (you can get them 3 times, I was told, and I did have them when I was an infant, and shingles as a teenager), and they are painful!!! So under rated. Be careful when you are around them too. They are nasty!!!!
I hope for a quick and painless recovery and keep him quarentined from other adults lol
You know I had know Idea those were still going around. I had to be vaccinated for Shingles this year which comes from having the Chicken Pox. Sending pixie for fast recovery.
