10th Birthday at WDW

First off, thanks to Patty for all of the wonderful 10th birthday ideas for my DS, Jamie.. Here's what DH & I have planned on Wednesday:
Our day will start with me waking him up singing "Teddy Bear Picnic" This is a looong family tradition starting with my Mom when I was little.. Every time something 'big' was going on in my life she would wake me up with "Today's the day, the teddy bears have their picnic" & I do this with my kids.. Yes, of course they think it's corny but that's my job.. To embarass them totally!
Then another tradtion is to wish the birthday person a Happy Birthday at precisely the time they were born.. Jamie was born at 7:47 am & this year we will be at the airport awaiting our flight to WDW.. ( too bad we're not flying on a 747 )
We're going to meet up with MIL & step-FIL at the Orlando airport & I'm sure he'll have more hugs & birthday wishes. All of us will be wearing our special "WDW birthday" shirts.
He wants to go to MGM to ride his favorite ride RnR.. I'm hoping he gets the same 'star treatment' he got last year on his birthday.
We are planning on going back to the resort & giving him his gifts then.. Here's what I planned: ( Thanks again to Patty for the GREAT ideas)
-> 10 computer made $10 gift certificates (didn't want him losing the 'real' things.. we have them safely at home) to:
*His favorite restaurant
* the video game store
*Wendy's
*Burger KIng
*McDonalds
*Toys R Us
*Wal-Mart
*Target
*the movies
*KB Kids
-> A punch card that I will punch every time he is 'caught' being good.. ( doing a good deed or act) when he gets 10 punches he gets $10
-> Letters from special people in his life... FYI Jamie wants to be a chef when he grows up so I made his brother & sisters letter to him to look like a menu.. it turned out really cute.
-> $10 Disney dollars
-> 10 Disney balloons at WDW.. ( think he'd notice us taking them on the bus??? )
-> 10 candy bars ( gotta remember to buy them at WDW.. don't want them to melt)
-> $10 cash
-> set of coins ( penny, nickel, dime, quarter) from the year he was born.
-> a coupon book good for special favors ( extra hour playing Nintendo etc)
-> certificate on 10 reasons we love Jamie!

Whew!! it was hard thinking of 10 things!!
If anyone else has any other ideas or suggestions.. I'd love to hear them...
We are going to end the evening at his favorite WDW restaurant.. Teppanyaki ~ does anyone know, do they do anything special for birthdays ( cake etc)? followed by Illuminations..
I'll let you know how it turned out.I can't believe he is a pre-teen

Re: 10th Birthday at WDW

We just celebrated DH birthday in Sept at Teppanyaki. I let them know when we made the PS that we were celebrating. They brought out a cake (big enough for the seven of us!) which was sooo yummy. Then the whole room sang Happy Birthday! Great place to celebrate!
