*** UpDate on Sue*** My sister has been under going some medical test. About year ago she found out she had a thighriod problem and thought it might help out some swelling in her feel and ankels, The Doctor gave her water pills to help, It went down she stopped taking them and it came back, she went back on them. Last week she went in for a check up and the Doctor took her back off then fearing a liver problem from them. The Doc also wanted her to at a glucosstollerent test. She went for that and they wouldn't not do it, her blood suger was too high and they worry about sis going into diabetic shock. So she might also have Diabiteis. We can handle this. It's the liver I worry about. She also found out one kidney is missing. she had an ultra sound on her liver, we're waiting the resuluts, and they couldn't find it. It either hidding or she was born with out it. Well like I said we're waiting on the results whicth she might get Tuseday, she has an appointment then. if you could just give her good thoughts on Tuesday morring I would apprceate it. Sue( my sis) would too. Thanks in advance, and sorry it's so long. [ 02-25-2003, 09:46 PM: Message edited by: LilMarcieMouse ]

Re: *** UpDate on Sue*** Marcie, It's so hard waiting for test results! But the best thing is to think positively! And the two of you have your Dtrip to talk about to bring both of you a touch of cheer. My one sister has lived over 40 years with one kidney. She lost hers when she was in her teens. My other sister has severe diabetes. She is a registered nurse. She takes her meds and fights her disease every day! It's good to know that there are medical break-throughs that help you live with illness/disease. But for Sue, let's hope that the tests come back negative...that all is fine and in working order! Positive thoughts. Happy thoughts. Magical thoughts! Sending a touch of pixie dust her way (and yours...don't worry!)

Re: *** UpDate on Sue*** Marcie, I hope everything goes well with the tests- the good news is that now your sis will know what she needs to do to stay healthy. I will say a prayer for you both (and send some pixie dust) Sheila

Re: *** UpDate on Sue*** Marcie, I'm so sorry hear about Sue's problems. Although, if it turns out she is diabetic, the good news is it can be controlled through medicines. Please keep us posted. I'll keep her in my prayers in the hopes she gets good news on Tuesday.
