My precious baby boy learned how to say orange yesterday. Perhaps the most adorable thing I've ever heard: "owange"

Just had to share. I can't believe he's growing up so fast. He seems to be a late talker, but he's slowly learning more and more words. I'm so proud of him.

Re: colors

I love how my DD said yellow "lellow". And she knows better now and just does it because she knows it irritates me when I correct her!! I think I liked the toddler phase better. I'm not sure if she is preschool or preteen at this point!!

That is really sweet. I work in a daycare with babies and young toddlers and I get so excited about all the new things they do. It is so fun. I can't wait to be a mom someday and experience those cute moments with my own child. Your little one is very cute!

Re: colors

isn't it the greatest when you feel like you're geting new little glimpses of their personalities through words all of a sudden? my dd#2 is 17 months, and i just think it's the cutest phase. lately she says "please" when she wants something. it's pronounced "peace". too cute. with my 1st dd, our favorite word of hers was "strawbaby" for strawberry. Re: colors

Oldest DS didn't do a lot of talking. He had a vocabulary made up entirely of sounds. The tractor, lawn mower, car etc. It was so cute. When he wanted a drink of water he coughed. I wish we would have gotten it on tape.
Youngest DS couldn't pronounce his brother's name. It always came out Ott (Scott).

Re: colors

Brings back memories!! DD #2 always said "bubble gum" like "buggle dum" - how she managed that I have no idea, 'cause it's hard for me to say it that way!
