| Not a single blessed bottle of lamp oil in Jacksonille - rant Ok - I spent 4 hours driving to every store I can think of in search of lamp oil for my 16 year old hurricane lamp (that I completely forgot I even had till half way through Frances).
I just need ONE bottle!!! Not a single bottle to be found in the county limits (or at least thats how it feels). The woman at one Home Depot told me to burn CITRONELLA oil in it -- ok - that oil that smells like strong lemons and leaves a coating over everything it touches??? INSIDE my house???? GRR. No, I don't think so.
In Texas they had "hurricane lamp oil" in clear bottles, sold it at walmart - here they just look at you funny....
Ok - now I am going to try to find it on the internet (can they ship that stuff??).
Rant over. |

| Re: Not a single blessed bottle of lamp oil in Jacksonille - rant Here's a link to buy liquid paraffin that might work for you: http://www.lehmans.com/shopping/prod...;iProductID=74
I just called Lehman's store at 888.438.5346 and was told that they have something called Klean Heat in stock at the store that they can ship to you (it's a gallon jug for around $15), the website is showing it on backorder, but the store does have it and CAN SHIP it to you!
Good luck...you are still in our prayers!!! |

| Re: Not a single blessed bottle of lamp oil in Jacksonille - rant "The Girlfriends" were out shopping today in Leesburg, VA, at the outlets, and at the Crate and Barrel Store were bottles of lamp oil. I'm thinking "great, I'll get you a few and mail them, they were on clearance, $.99 each. Then I read "Combustible". Ooops, can't mail those! Probably can't fly with them either. Sorry! |

Looks like Ivan is going elsewhere, so you won't really need it anyway (thank goodness)! |
