Shalimar, FL took quite a bit of damage, so I hear . . . but the eye passed over Gulf Shores, Alabama (which is about 35 miles from where I live in Pensacola -- so, about 85 miles to Bill's west) -- not QUITE a direct hit, but close!!!
I haven't, personally heard anything from him or seen anything on the boards, but I would imagine that he is working long hours right now!!! He is in law enforcement . . . they are out assessing the damage and what-not. I know that the cops in Pensacola and the county sherrif's department went to 12 hour shifts for the time being . . . I would imagine that they are doing something similar!!!
Hopefully, if he has power, he will pop in here before too long and give us all an update . . . my family and I evacuated to Atlanta, so I am really concerned about those who stayed in the area!!!            | |
