Kitty attack Last night Jalen came downstairs screaming and holding his eye. He told me the cat scratched his eye and I saw blood dripping all over the floor. I thought he had scratched his eyeball for a minute and that freaked me out. Turns out he had 2 deep gashes on his eyelid - one that immediately turned an ugly green and purple. It bled for about 10 minutes and then he wanted a band-aid on it He couldn't understand why I couldn't put a band-aid on his eyelid It's pretty ugly this morning. BTW, they were trying to get the kitty to do somersaults I am hoping they learned their lesson, b/c this is our laid-back cat.

Re: Kitty attack OMG! I don't know if I would have been very calm in a situation like that. I hope you were able to clean him up okay and that he's doing better this morning. Wow! Oh yeah, and poor kitty! ![]()

Re: Kitty attack Ouch. I just hate it when they get head wounds that bleed like that. Well hope there was a lesson learned.

Re: Kitty attack I have no idea how they would be trying to get a cat to somersault But they were best buds again this morning (Jalen and Presley) so I guess all inner wounds were healed ![]()

Re: Kitty attack Well, when I first read this, I though of poor Celery... But then, you don't live that close to Tara..... Now, I can tell you how to teach a cat to do sommersaults, but you could get scratched trying.....

Re: Kitty attack Mittens is doing plenty of sommersaults on her own every time I push her off of me! She just rolls around on the ground in this limp fashion. After she gets out of *her way* She's going straight to the vet to be operated on!!! She's been getting on mine and Chewy's last nerve all day!!! I need a smiley pulling his hair out b/c that's how I feel right now about her!

Re: Kitty attack This reminds me of some advice I was once given: Never hold a cat in one hand and turn on the blowdryer with the other. ![]() I hope Jalen's okay.
