| Good thing-Bad thing...WDW CP DD got a part in a play! I guess the CMs or CPs put on productions and such throughout the year and DD went to audition for a play that a CM/CP has written. She says it's "unusual" with a lot of "adult humor" and that characters randomly break out of character and forget lines on purpose? Anyway, she auditioned and she did get a part. Good thing - it's good when our kids are successful at something they want to do. Bad thing - it encourages her to continue to pursue something that really holds no future for her BUT, she's 19 now and it is her life. She's happy so I'm happy for her! (only, not about the "adult humor" part ) ![]() |

You don't know this for a fact! Somebody has to get those jobs! Why not your DD?! Anyway! She's young is right. Now's the time to pursue her dreams. There are so many things I wish I had done when I was younger that I just can't do anymore. ![]() Congrats to her!! What a cool experience! |

| Re: Good thing-Bad thing...WDW CP DD got a part in a play! Linda, she still hasn't decided (has been having "issues" with making cotton candy...she hates it and they keep on her to make more...200 bags the other night! ) She's going to see if they can transfer her over to Epcot, she's ready for a change of scenery. I told her I wanted her to extend, so we could have some Christmas with her when we are there.I know everyone is right about her pursuing her dream and I have definitely always supported that, but I also think it's important to have "A Plan" in case the Met *doesn't* call begging her to sing the lead role in La Boheme She does not have a plan yet, although she did sign up to take a couple of Disney classes over the summer, which really surprised me. And Rachel, the "adult humor" is just not something I can get used to with my BABY!!! She told me she went to PI the other night and hung out at the AC and I just about choked on my Pepsi...*MY* baby??? at a (gasp) BAR?!?!? (actually, I was glad she enjoyed it...but don't tell my mom I said that! ) |

| Re: Good thing-Bad thing...WDW CP DD got a part in a play! Just keep in mind Dawn, most kids in college have no plan. They somtimes change their majors 2 and 3 times. It's probably good that she's trying out things now. And when she finally wakes up one day and realizes that the Met isn't calling, then she'll be committed to looking for something she loves. I KNOW she can do this cause you're her mom. ![]() |
