| Anybody ever have Lyme disease?
Hey guys!
DH went to the doctor yesterday and they are doing blood work on him to see if he has Lyme disease - the doctor thinks he does. Anybody have any experience with it?

I don't, but there was a woman in my master's program several years ago who did and it was awful. She took several months to recover and had lots of physical problems.  that it's not that!!!       | |

My dad had lyme disease years ago. Once they figured out what he had , he got much better.

Yep, my Mom had it a couple of years ago. She got pretty sick until they figured out what it was. They treated it and she got better pretty fast but said she continued to feel tired/run down for about 6 months afterwards. for your DH! | |

Dh had it a few years ago Stephanie. He certainly felt better after being on the medication for a month-but it still took a while. for your DH that he feels better soon!   | |

I had it...I was very sick and had to go to the hospital. Once they figured out what I had though they pumped me with fluids and I was on medication for about a month. It broke down my immune system horribly though and I had mono and strep throat REALLLLLY bad. Just get him to take vitamins and build his system back up...otherwise he will catch anything anybody has! | |

Yes, I have had Lyme Disease. I never had the rash, I just was extremely tired and had some mild muscle aches. DH just finished taking the medication for it. He was lucky, as he found the "bullseye" rash. He took medication for 3 weeks and actually after just a few days, the rash was gone. If your DH does have it, the medication they treat it with sometimes causes people to be more sensitive in the sun. Make sure he uses a good sunscreen and covers up outside.
