| Fire! - Pixies Needed Please!!! Yesterday morning two families in my small town lost everything. Their houses were completely gutted by fire. Nothing was left standing but the chimneys. The one a family of 5, Mom, Dad, 3 children and the dog barely escaped their blazing home with only the pajamas they were wearing. The house was a very large victorian home that was over 100 years old and was completely renovated last year. It was such a beautiful home and one of the most prominent homes in our town. This was one house that really defined our little town. They did have the presence of mind to grab their car keys as they fled and their cars are the only material items they have left. Thankfully they have their lives. The other family was not home at the time....this was their summer home. A home that has been in their family for generations. They lost many priceless antiques and family memorabilia. This house was also a very large old victorian and renovations on this house were just completed yesterday! We're hearing that the fire could have been started by some sort of natural gas problem on the outside of the house that was occupied by the family of 5. This house was completely gone in less than 20 minutes and the hot embers and flames along with 30 mph winds caused the other house to catch fire. That house was gone in less than 10 minutes. It was such a sad day for our town however, this tragedy has brought out the best in people. The family has already been relocated to another home in town where the owners of that home are only around in the summer.
