Belle and the tator tot!

My dog is obsessed with food!

I made tator tots with dinner tonight and when I pulled them out of the oven one dropped. It fell between the stove and the counter. I tried to grab it with the broom handle but it was took thick so I left it there to deal with later. Well my little food hound decided it was her duty to get the dropped tot. After almost sucking her whole body between the oven and the cabinets (around 1 1/2 inches) she FINALLY got the tot and ate it promptly (making sure the cat---who could care less--didn't get it). Geezzz it is like I never feed her!

Now she keeps going back there thinking that the space is some sort of tator tot dispenser.

UPDATE: Belle still thinks there are tator tots between the oven and the counter. I will try to get a photo of her staking out the spot...by the way I moved the oven over so there is not space for food to fall...she has yet to figure that out!

I can totally see this happening, especially since I also have a furry garborator who roams the kitchen hopefully! Yesterday I was making scalloped potatoes, so I was tossing him the little ends of raw potatoes after I sliced them. He thought he was in Dog Heaven!

Re: Belle and the tator tot!

The other night i was sitting here posting away on the boards munching on golden puff cereal and my dog was sitting next to me whining every time i ate a handful.
He likes to rummage in the kitchen too. thanks to the kids there's usually a virtual buffet left for him after every meal. but the funniest is when he sticks his tounge out like and anteater to clean under the cupboards!
