| Next Trip, ADRs made!!!
The excitement of the very recent trip (including meets with many PP friends) is still warm in my heart, but the next trip is coming up very soon. DH and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in January. Our trip is 1/4-1/11 and we are staying at Saratoga Springs, only our second "Welcome Home" since joining DVC.
As many of you know this past year has been a mixture of joys and sorrows and the October trip was almost cancelled. DH and I are so glad we went but I had many mixed feelings about being there so soon after my mother's passing. Although I enjoyed the trip on the whole I still felt I had left DH out of my feelings during that time. We had the anniversary trip planned long ago but with all the other things happening in our lives all I really had in place was airfare and DVC reservation.
So, today I took on the chore of trying to figure out ADRs! DH and I had talked about what and where and from those conversations I came up with the following. Those indicated with an * are new for us! # means we haven't done them in a long time.
Arrive 1/4 late, will probably just go to DTD or check out SS for something to eat.
Friday 1/5, Rose & Crown dinner. # Not late enough for a table to watch Illuminations, but I'll try back later to see if there are any cancellations closer to their latest time of 8 pm.
Saturday, 1900 Parkfare for breakfast *
Sunday, Concourse Steakhouse for dinner *
Monday, Brown Derby for lunch #
Tuesday, Fulton's Crab House dinner #
Wednesday, Boma for a late dinner after EMH at AK
Thursday, departure day BUT, I SCORED CRT FOR 8:15!!*
So, how did I do?? We did the DDP for our Oct trip and I think I'll try it again in January. I also have DDE card for any extras!!
Now, if I can only find the time to put together my TR for Oct and a pre-trip report for January. There are a few things like Thanksgiving and Christmas looming before me so your guess is as good as mine when/if I can get them and everything else done! Love your choices. I did many of them on my recent trip and enjoyed them all. Looking forward to reading about both your trips when you find some time to write. | |

Just added the Hidden Treasures tour at EPCOT!! I got 20% discount with my Disney visa card (more than the 15% for either my AP or DVC).
Everything is a secret from DH. I have special Tshirts for us to wear and I have to order something special to be delivered to the room (wine/cheese/chocolates). Any ideas or recommendations from those who have done that before? | |
