Transportation to early breakfasts

Do the buses run early for breakfast ADRs???? I only have 1 breakfast at Crystal Palace, the rest are dinners at either a park or resort. Will the CMs at the gate be there to let us in, or is there a special entrance we need to take. MK does not open until 9.

early buses

We stayed at the CBR last October and there were early buses every morning. Most of my ADRs were for 8AM and earlier.

You will love this breakfast at Crystal Palace. I've done it 3 times and it's sooo worth it just to get there before park open and walk down Main street virtually alone! As far as getting inside early, be sure to have your ADR number written down just incase they ask for it. They've only asked me once out of 3 times and then checked my name off a list. The other times, they've just asked what I was there for and then let us through. Can't help much on the bus situation, I had a rental car every time. But I would ask the front desk or concierge upon check-in and they'll let you know what time the bus picks up. Be sure not to miss it though!!!

oh, i should add. for breakfasts at parks before the parks open, there will be a particular turnstile dedicated for ADRs.

So what happens if they are at a resort? For example, 9am at Kona. Take bus from resort to TTC or MK? Then I can get on a bus or monorail to Poly around 8:30 am?

well 9 am isn't that big of an issue (it can get worse since resort based meals can start serving as early as 7:15-7:30 am), but yes, the bus from your resort will take you to MK (TTC is not an option) and you can then take the resort monorail to Poly starting at 7:30 (? - not sure when it starts, but 8:30 is not a problem).

the only thing i'd be aware of in that case is where the bus drops you off at MK and where the monorail station is is a small walk, maybe 10 mins between the two at a lesiurely pace (basically on opposite sides of the park's entrance)

If the MK buses are running by the time you leave, yes, take the bus to MK and then monorail or boat to the poly. If you want to leave before park buses are running, there will be a "breakfast bus" that will take you directly to the resort you need to get to. We have always let the front desk know the night before when we would be needing a ride. It's much faster!

AS BradK mentioned there is a seperate turnstile for early ADRs...usually on the far right. Head in that direction and listen for CMs directing people. There are usually a lot of people clustering around the entrance waiting for park opening and it can get a little confusing. Make sure you have your ADR number with you, I always seem to get asked for mine.

For the parks it won't be an issue. What time is your ADR?

I'd call the lobby concierge at your resort to ask about the "special" bus (which often displays a marquee of "special" or "Mickey Mouse.") They can tell you exactly what time you will need to be out for the special bus.

Also, they can arrange for a taxi to be waiting for you if you decide to go that route.

One time, we were given the option of being dropped at the Contemporary as the speacial bus headed to the MK. The driver even asked if anyone needed to go to the Poly or the Grand Floridian. It seemed like he was willing to take people wherever they needed to go in the MK area.

On our last day, we need to catch the ME by 11:00 a.m. apparently. So I made a 7:30 ADR for Chef Mickey's. Now I'm thinking about how this is going to work . . .

We're staying at POP. Is it possible to get to a 7:30 ADR at Chef Mickey's from POP any way but by taxi?

Thanks for asking your questions, applejen - - made me think!

The breakfast buses start running at 6:30 a.m. Just make sure sure to let your front desk know the night before that you will be needing that bus. If you're at the bus stop and it gets to be past 6:30 with no sign of a bus, just use the phone in the bus stop area and let the operator know that you are still waiting so that she can notify transportation. We ran into exactly that scenario on our trip last month and one quick call had our bus arriving less than 5 minutes later.

Thanks for the information Joy!! It's nice to have this information prior to getting there. So what time should I hit the "Breakfast Bus" at POP to get to Chef Mickey's for my 7:30 ADR? Is there just the one bus AT 6:30?
