Roaring Forks

we're staying at WL this fall, and i'm wondering how the counter service "roaring forks" is. we'll probably be eating a lot of breakfasts there, but maybe some lunches or dinners. is it a food court? is it open early and close late (i'm a late night snacker )
does anyone have any opinions on their food? quality?

thanks, goofyforWDW

Re: Roaring Forks

We were there in Dec99(Xmas). It was pretty good then. Basic stuff. I had a PB&J on red and green bread(So christmassy) very late one nite when we came back to WL after a whole day at the park without much food. We did have a quik breakfast there one morning. Not bad at all. Actually, there was only a short line at the grill. If you want baked goods/toast/bagel or cereal you can often pass by those waiting for grill food and step right to the cashier. You pay and then get your drinks. We found it to be very convenient. They have burgers, dogs, ckn fingers etc, but I'm not a big meat eater so I can't help you there. Opinion only - they looked good, never tasted them though.
Did buy the mugs for hot chocolate and coffee/tea. That turned out to be a bargain, plus now I use it as my travel mug.
Hope this info helps.
P.S. If you have time and $ the breakfast at Artist Pt. was GREAT!

Re: Roaring Forks

It's been 4 years since we've stayed at WL. At that time Roaring Forks was open 24 hours. I'm assuming they still are. That was a big plus for me because I'm also a late night snacker. It's fast, convenient and my favorite of all the cafes and/or food courts.

Re: Roaring Forks

We stayed there in '98 and Roaring Forks was great. They have good food at good prices. They were open late when we were there, I like late night snacks too!

Make sure you do the refillable mugs, that's the best bargain of all. The WL is so nice because you can get to Roaring Forks without having to go outside first.

Re: Roaring Forks

Roaring forks has a very limited selection of hot foods - things like a scrambled egg plate and breakfast pizzas in the morning, burgers, hot dogs and (often) another hot sandwich special during lunch and dinner. They have a nice selection of cold sandwiches, wraps, etc. Without a doubt we've eaten more frequently at Roaring Forks than any other Deluxe resort snack bar - so I guess that's not a bad endorsement (at least we don't run the other way)
