Re: What is "Blast"?

I am not sure if this is the right "Blast" but this is all I could find on the web.

The Tomorrowland Blast, a 12-piece rock band, performs the songs of The Pointer Sisters, Chuck Mangione, Tower of Power and others with a high-energy, futuristic twist.

Re: What is "Blast"?

You may be thinking of the Broadway show, BLAST!, that is currently playing in NYC. The show will move the American Garden Theatre this summer to entertain WDW guests. Check out the posting in Touring the World for dates.

Re: What is "Blast"?

BLASTis a great percussion and color guard group that are performing on tour. Now in WDW through August I beleive, then across the USA , coming to my area in Oct and to Boston next March..Plan to see them at least once. They are spectacular!!!!! A must see in Epcot and they are having some kind of dinner package along with them. I'll try to find that web site, but in the meantime check this out: http://www.cookgroup.com/blast

Re: What is "Blast"?

Blast is a stage show featuring Drum Corps instruments (percussion and brass section), with the color guard section (dancers, flags, rifles, etc.). We saw the show as it toured through the Kennedy Center in D.C. last winter. It was phenomenal! Not at all a "typical" Broadway show. Kind of like Riverdance in that it is a unique form of artistry/music put into a new venue. If you have ever enjoyed watching or participating in Marching Band, Drum Corps, or Winter Guard, you will love it. Even if you have never been much interested in any of these, you should give it a try! I'm not sure how much the Epcot version will be like the Kennedy Center performance, but if it's anywhere close, you'll enjoy it!
