Early or Late PS?????

Our first day at WDW will be on a Friday and if we follow the EE schedule it would be Epcot. Would you recommend early or late ressie for character breakfast with DD(7 yr old)at Garden Grill? It is our first time with her at WDW and she is soooooo excited. Let me know about some of your experiences!!

Thanks for the input....

Re: Early or Late PS?????

hmmmm....my experience?? The kids are soo excited that it's hard to get them to even want to stop and eat. (Remember, eating for kids is NOT as important as it is to us
Have you thought about grabbing a quick breakfast, arriving at epcot early, then having an 11:30 lunch at Garden Grille? Or if you want to postpone even further, then snack a bit and eat at Garden Grille at around 2 p.m.??? Their lunch meal is wonderful! FAmily-style, chicken, etc....very tasty! And all of the Mickey/Minnie/Chip & Dale Farmers are there to visit with you also. My thought is that your daughter is not going to want to stop for breakfast AT ALL, so waiting and taking a break later when everyone is starting to get "pooped" might be a better bet.
Whatever you plan to do, your daughter is going to have a wonderful time! (and you too!!!)

I agree with kecall. I would have a light breakfast in the room and make a later PS time. This will also give you a break from the walking you will do at Epcot.

Re: Early or Late PS?????

I have only eaten breakfast at the Garden Grill -- so I cannot comment on lunch/dinner there. But the breakfast food was GREAT and the character interactions were wonderful!
In your particular situation, I think maybe I would do a later PS there or...
maybe just do an in-room breakfast (very early), lite counter service lunch at the park, and then a PS for the ice-cream social at the Garden Grill for 3:00! Your DD is sure to want to sit down when there's ice-cream to be eaten coupled with the characters on hand!
At any rate.. go late!

P.S. We had booked the ice-cream social for our last trip, but for the same day as a PS breakfast. This proved to be toooo much. By the time our ice-cream time rolled around, we were far too stuffed, so we had to cancel. So if you do decide to do this, I would recommend muffins for breakfast at about 6-7 AM, then an early lunch around 11:30AM -- but keep it lite (like appetizers or sharing portions) -- then the ice-cream.

Re: Early or Late PS?????

Thanks for all your great responses. I think the lunch or ice cream social will probably be the best for us!! I am in total agreement that food will be the LAST thing on DD's wish list for her first morning at WDW.
