Thank you for this info!! As always, your work is outstanding! I always read your posts/look at your photos as they're extremely informative!
The only thing that disheartens me is the fact that ALL CS in Animal Kingdom have the SAME desserts - chocolate cake, carrot cake, and pie - either key lime or lemon. Why can't they have some variety?!?!

I agree. And not only AK, but other parks and resorts have similar offerings. There was a mango pie, I believe - so that was different.

Thanks again and again and again Denise! Finally, it looks like the wait was worth it! We will definitely stick to our plan to try and eat there in December. Did it look like the TS area held a lot of people or did it look limited? I just wondered because in the pix the restaurant looks so large from the outside. Thanks in advance for any info. Bogred

Great job, Denise! How did you get this up on your site so quickly?! I'm so jealous that you got to see Joe Rodhe. I saw him once, years ago, at Tusker House.
For vegetarians out there: As Denise mentioned, there were really only 2 choices at the Table Service. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the vegetables in the stir-fry and the seasoning was excellent. The Counter Service, however, has no vegetarian choices on the menu, so the only option there is to order the Mandarin Chicken Salad without the chicken. I spoke with a young CM from Indonesia who was disappointed (as Denise and I were) that the menu was mainly Oriental, since AK's Asia section is supposed to be modeled on India, Indonesia, Thailand and Nepal. But the quality of the food was good, and we can hope for a more Pan-Asian menu in the future. As you can see from Denise's wonderful photos, the restaurant is absolutely beautiful.

The table service area seats around 300 guests, it is big (there is a downstairs and an upstairs).

Laurie -
I wish you'd come upstairs with me! And I didn't get the photos up as quickly as planned, but by 5:30 or so.
