DINING AT DISNEY BUT STAYING OFF PROPERTY

This sounds to me like a stupid question but are you able to dine anywhere even though you are staying off property? I am about to make my first ADR right before the new year for June and would like to take the children and mother and DH of course to Chef Mickey's and I don't see any restrictions anywhere but I wanted to be sure that you could if not staying on property go to any restaurant on Disney property. I was also looking at Boma but again, I started to doubt myself as I do regularly that something was going to block my way of having a blissful meal.

It seems as if almost everyone on this thread is staying on property so a lot of times I get confused if the information is for everyone or those staying on property. Thanks a lot!

you certainly can. disney's not afraid to take your money no matter where you're staying. the only difference is that when offsite, the earliest you can make any ADR is 180 days from the meal itself (no 180 + 10).

Thank you so much! Yes, I realized that. The only places I would like to get ADR is for Fantasmic and Chef Mickeys. I'm actually doing the breakfast at Islands of Adventure for the kids another day. I also may do one romantic dinner with my DH while my mom watches the kids but I haven't decided yet. I'm thinking that the second night of our trip June 22nd I may try to do something in Epcot since we are going there in the evening just to catch Illuminations.

yep, we stay off property at least once or twice a year and have no trouble getting ADR's.
You might enjoy rose and crown pub for the fireworks show, if you get around a 7:30-8pm ressie. Ask for an outside table, then you can just stay put.
