Just booked Wishes Dessert Party..Here's some Important Info...
I just booked it for August 21st. Some important stuff to know if anyone is interested:
I got a CM who said the following (she was very helpful):
You are NOT guaranteed a table..as it is similar to being at a cocktail party. Some small tables are scattered around, but you may end up standing. Also, it is under a roof but there is still a view of the fireworks as you can go up near the railing, and Tink flies right on over you, and the music/narration is heard just fine from there. Now, I asked her what time I should arrive for the 10 pm viewing of Wishes, and her system said 9:20, but then I said that Spectro is due to start at 9 PM, and that's one of the reasons I also booked this as viewing is also visible from this area...but she pointed out that if it starts in Frontierland (which I'm not sure about nor was she), then it wouldn't arrive in Tomorrowland until 20 minutes later. But then she checked with her supervisor, and she was told that I should arrive for the dessert party at 8:50, which is what I'll do.
This link below shows photos of the desserts (they look fabulous), a view of what you could see when Spectromagic goes by and the view of the Castle and Wishes. For Spectro, you're not right up close on the street..you'e a little bit further back, but looks like you can see most of the tall floats. May be worth it as you wouldn't have to fight the crowds. If anyone has seen this already (I know that it just started two days ago), we'd love to hear from you and your comments on the desserts, the view and if you saw Spectro as well. Thanks!
The cost is mentioned in the link. I'm not sure if it's included in the dining plan...I forgot to ask the CM, but we've booked all our ADRs anyways, so I'd being paying out of pocket regardless. You do need to provide your credit card, as payment is taken right away for booking.
I tried to book this for our trip next month and it was already full. The CM I spoke to said to keep watching as they might be extending this into the fall depending on the response they get from the current dates. He did say that so far the response had been great especially considering that this was just announced. So here's hoping that this becomes a permanent feature!
Thanks for the link. I thought about doing this, but it's expensive IMO (almost 50 bucks for us). For that kind of money, I'd rather a dinner type of buffet instead of desserts.

I would love this I hope they do extend it so we can book it in September. It looks wonderful and delicious! !
Those desserts look so good. But its a bit to pricey for us. We aren't that much into desserts. Besides we are doing the dining plan and will have enough desserts that week. Thanks for the link.
