Cape May Cafe

Last night we swapped a reservation in favor of going to Cape May instead! We have never been there for the dinner buffet. I thought I would see crab legs on the menu but I didn't. Do they have crab legs? And any other comments, info or reviews would be greatly appreciated!

We have not been yet but have an ADR for our upcoming trip. The menu on All Ears at Cape May Clam Bake Dinner Buffet Beach Club Resort shows they have snow crab legs. I'm not a seafood eater but my husband is and he is super excited about eating here. We made our reservation on a Saturday so my husband can have Fried Shrimp also. Hope that helps!

Thanks! I was looking at a menu on a Disney Dining App on my iPad so I suppose the menus can vary (or at least that's what it said on mine!). Glad to know that the crab legs are still a possibility! My son is ecstatic about going there and no matter what I'm sure it will be good! I know I have read other positive reviews but I can't remember exactly what they said!

Wow I just checked your All Ears link and I think it was more updated because the prices were higher . Looks like our day is the fried Calimari day which makes my son even happier! Thanks for the link!

We went a few years ago and I was not thrilled with the place. All the reviews I have read, I really thought it was going to be really good. The food was good, I just thought they would offer more options. I am willing to try it again, maybe the second visit will make me like them more.

We went in '09 and loved it. But we are big seafood eatters. They do have carb leggs but only on some nights. We will be eatting here again in about 30 days.

Cape May Cafe Clam Bake is mine and my daughters favorite. We had the crab legs when we were there in August 2011 and they were yummy

I have a differing opinion. We went in October, and I have to say, I was disappointed. We went on a Sunday, & they had the crab legs, (which were good), but there was not a huge variety of other seafood. The food was also very spicy, which made it hard to enjoy. I picked at most of it, as did DH, who eats everything. The service was just OK, not bad, but not great either. It was better for breakfast, but it is def not a place I'd rush back to.

We just ate there on Monday night! It is a family favorite especially DH. There have been crab legs there every time we've eaten there...1/2010, 2/2011, and as I said, last week.
From memory, here are some of the offerings: crab legs, steamed clams, mussels=my DH 3 favorites, fried fish, ribs, clam chowder & another soup, prime rib, roasted chicken, salad bar, steamed shrimp, mashed potatoes, veggies, mac & cheese, pizza, chicken tenders, green beans, pasta dishes, beef tips, breads, much much more....oh and a dessert bar.
Here are a few pics from last year {we ate there twice!}.

I also need to mention that the staff here is awesome. We have had nothing but awesome service & food at Cape May Cafe! Hope you love it too!

Yeah, it's a winner and has been added to our must do list from now on. I hate seafood buffets to the high hills, but for some reason, we just really enjoyed our whole experience here. Try it out, you may just be as surprised as we were.

We ate there last month. There were quite a few options for our son who eats like an adult but doesn't care too much for seafood. He really liked the carved beef.

The meal and service there were great!! We loved it so much that we added it to our quickie "cheap" 2 day trip in June.

You are welcome! I've read a lot of mixed reviews so we are going in with an open mind about it. Really I'm just going to make DH happy since I don't eat seafood. He loves LOVES seafood and rarely gets to eat it. Vacation is one time he usually does. We've been on several cruises and that is one of his favorite things (getting to eat lots of seafood). So when we switch from a cruise to Disney I try to make sure he still gets to eat some seafood. At a buffett my husband goes for quanity over quality so I have a feeling he will enjoy this place. Hope you all do too!!

Just curious, after reading the updated menu for Cape May, I saw this:
Seafood Selections

Snow Crab Legs, Steamed Clams, Prince Edward Island Sound Mussels,
Baked Seasonal Fish, Tortellini with Lobster Sauce, Seafood Pot Pie,
and Fried Cod (Sunday and Friday),
Batter-Fried Calamari (Tuesday and Thursday),
Fried Shrimp (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday)

Is it the Fried cod that's a bonus on Sunday and Friday? I'm assuming you can get the Snow Crab Legs, Steamed Clams, Prince Edward Island Sound Mussels,
Baked Seasonal Fish, Tortellini with Lobster Sauce, Seafood Pot Pie any day of the week?
