I love their fries. I don't like fish so I get one of the meat pies. Pretty yummy. DH gets the chicken sandwich which he likes a lot. DS loved the fish. We sometimes go their to have a change from EOS.
I've only been to Cooke's of Dublin once, and I loved it! I had a fish/scallop combo, and it was the best I've ever had. The breading was perfect, the fish and scallops were fresh and tasty. Later in the trip I tried Yorkshire County Fish House, and I loved it just as much. For me, those two are tied for the best fish and chips I've ever had.

We ate there once with the whole family and then DH and DS hit it again when just the two of them went to DTD for a movie one night. We sat outside on the patio and really enjoyed the night air - even in January! I'm not big on fried food, but it was good!
We've had meals from Cooke's on our last 3 trips. I'm a fan of the Fisherman's Pie. DH, tries fish 'n chips everywhere (Yorkshire County Fish Company is his favorite on the planet) and wasn't disappointed by Cooke's.

YDS, who loves Raglan Road and is the fish and chips expert in the house, said he'd rather skip it and do Raglan Road or something else next time. And he's only 9.
