TS at Epcot

What are some good choices for dinner at Epcot? I have narrowed it to:

Via Napoli
Biergarten
Coral Reef
Garden Grill

We love Coral Reef! DS enjoys watching the fish swim by as we eat.

We've never eaten at Coral Reef, but have tried the other 3. Love them all! If you're looking for wide variety, go to Biergarten. The pizza at Via Napoli is fantastic. If you prefer all-you-can-eat of yummy American fare, Garden Grill is your choice. Add to that, wonderful character interaction, and you can't lose.

Of those, Via Napoli gets my vote. We loved our meal there last April.

Biergarten you go for all you can eat buffet with entertainment. The manager was talking into his collar about guests not getting up and leaving. They wanted people to set, eat, and go. Staff was pushed to the maximum and sometimes overwhelmed by the large crowds. I and others waited a good amount of time for the check and I did not get a refill on iced tea until it was empty and I asked. Managers even were bussing tables.

Food: BUFFET slung fast and furiously. Vanilla pudding had no spices or vanilla, roast potatoes were over done and very soft, butter is rock hard frozen, berry compte was very sweet, did love the meat, green beans were overcooked and not fit for starving refugees, applesauce was good but seemed to be packaged, tomato salad was blase and again not the best tomatoes available.

Am I harsh? NO. I have done other buffets on both coasts and the food was better, Will I go back? I did it for the experience but rather spend the money on Cinderella or the Land Grille.

We did Biergarten on Tuesday night (5:50 adr). They forgot to call our name. We were told about 15 minute wait. After 25 minutes of waiting and no buzzer going off and no call for us, I inquired. Someone had put our 'table assignment' aside like we'd been called and hadn't responded. I told the manager that was incorrect and that we'd been at the door the whole time watching other people get called that came in after us, and he got us seated right away.

Because of it, we missed nearly the whole set of music. The band was playing when we checked in and we could see them throught the door the whole time we waited to be called. They just finished their last two songs as we sat down.

The food was fine, but the four of us decided that we would not be back soon. We like other restaurants better at Epcot.

Of your choices, OP, I'd probably try Via Napoli, because we've never tried it. I like Coral Reef, but didn't find Garden Grill that wonderful.

Of your choices I'd choose

1. Via Napoli - great pizza and desserts
2. Garden Grill - all you care to eat brought to your table. Steak and fish were wonderful. Salad was good as well. I didn't get to try the dessert or the potatoes as they contained dairy, but the chef was kind enough to serve me a baked potato and I got a dairy free cookie for dessert.
3. Coral Reef - Food was good, service was not
4. Biergarten - I'm not a fan of German food, so I was fairly limited in my dining choices, I didn't enjoy the people they seated us with, but I loved the music.

Via Napoli can't be beat, great food and service in a beautiful restaurant! My DH loves Coral Reef and I agree the food is good but service is lacking and it is very loud in there too!

Biergarten and Via Napoli are two of our top 5 restaurants at WDW. Biergarten we have been to several times...we've had delicious food and wonderful service every time. The show is really fun as well. Via Napoli is just flat out mouth-watering and we've always had really exceptional service there as well. I think either of these would be a great choice!

We love Garden Grill... great food, good service and AMAZING character interaction. The view is nice, too and it doesn't feel crowded at all. The beef was delicious, and the bread with maple butter, YUMMY!

I really didn't like Coral Reef, but maybe it was just a bad experience. The food was just not that good, but I hear from others its terrific. Maybe it was what I ordered, I don't know. I honestly had no expectations of it, and went for the atmosphere alone.

I have never personally been to Via Napoli, but my mom and sister said it was absolutely amazing.

....ate at Via Napoli last trip...and loved it. The pizza is phenomenal....but personally, I don't travel 1150 miles to eat pizza (not saying that I wouldn't) when there are so many other great items on the menu. We pretty much sampled a good sized array of food between 4 of us....but one of our daughters is vegetarian..and had pizza...which she loved. It's a restaurant with a great airiness about it and the open kitchen is really nice.

.....and...there's no other place in Epcot where an Italian beer...seems so right.
