Cinderella's Royal Table - payment question

Do I need to pay for CRT in advance or do they just use my credit card to hold the reservation? I am trying to figure our reservations for our trip and will need to figure out payment for CRT if we have to pay in advance (my parents and I will have one booking but are paying seperately, so I am hoping they just use a cc to hold the reservation! That would make it much easier!)

thanks!

Jenelle

It just holds your reservation. They don't charge you until the day you go for the reservation.

They don't charge you before because if you cancel within 1 day or are a no-show for the reservation they only charge $10 per person. It's when you show up for your reservation that they put it through on the day.

That's what I understand by reading the terms but maybe Im wrong.

I know that we pre-paid. CRT is one of, if not the only ADR that requires pre-payment.

I just tried to make a reservation and it definitely requires payment. So, if anyone is looking, there are reservations available on 9/6 for breakfast!

I believe for CRT you must pay in full at the time of booking. Not sure what the procedure is if you are on the dining plan.

*I did just confirm on the WDW website that advance prepayment is required and your card will be charged.

We went in 2007 (i think that was the year) and they charged the card at booking and then credited the card when we use the dining plan. I didn't like this either but it worked okay, at least we had a little money back on the card after the trip.

Yes, CRT is paid in full when you reserve it. Tax and gratuity are included in that payment, so you will not have to pay for anything when you are at the restaurant.

I agree -- CRT is the one place that is paid-in-full at the time of booking (unless you are on the dining plan.)

We went in 2006, and had to pay when I booked it 180-days prior.

Yup. We have reservations there for April and we were charged back in January when I made the reservation.
