refillable mugs at the resorts

We just booked AoA for Oct. I have a question about the refillable souvenir mugs. Can you fill them with milk?

: The refillable mugs can be filled with sodas, coffee, tea or hot cocoa (also, some resorts have fruit punch or lemonade on the drink fountains). Milk is available for purchase in the grab-and-go areas of the food courts. You could pour it into the mug, but it would be a separate purchase.

I figured we'd have to buy milk separately. We'll be eating small breakfasts (cereal and breakfast bars from home) aside from 2 character breakfasts I am planning for us. Any idea how much milk costs at the resort shops? I don't even want it for the cereal, but to drink. My DH and DD eat cereal dry.

No, you can't fill the mugs with milk. It would cost Disney too much. You can purchase milk in the gran-and-go part of the food court (or buy it off campus)

You can get pints in the grab-and-go area for around $1.30-1.50 or so each or you can get a quart of milk (usually) in the resort gift shops for around $2.75-3.00 (or a half gallon for somewhere near $4 ) or so to keep in the fridge in your room.

We love the refillable mugs for soft drinks and coffee, and as stated, you can purchase milk in the shop since milk and fruit juice are not included in the refillable options. Music's shop sells both pints and quarts; I think the pint was about $1.75 last time. Half pints in the food court were $1.29, so you can definitely save by buying in the shop.

When we're on the DDP, we some days use our snack credits for breakfast. Milk & cereal is 1 snack credit. We'll throw in a couple of bags of bagels in our luggage, and get a side of eggs or sausage with a snack credit to go with the bagel. Use the resort mug for our drinks. With the DDP we are always so full, we don't use all our snack credits, so a few breakfasts are a good use of snack credits for us.

I keep thinking we'll have quick service meals left over. I have no idea what we'd do with them. Can you get snacks for them?

My cousin told me they were getting tons of snacks for the way home and I assumed they had lots of snacks left over. However, I now think she must have done the same thing, used QS meals for 3 snacks.

If you think you'll have QS meals left, why not spend them for breakfasts at your resort CS? Are you planning on skipping lunches?

No, but I never know with DD. She might not want to eat lunch and insist she is not hungry, or, DH will say he isn't hungry as well. Me? I can eat pretty much anytime.
