WAS able to make dining reservations online

I tried to post this under the blog comments on the home page of this site, but had no luck.

This morning (at 4:00am my time) I was able to make 5 out of my 6 desired dining reservations at the 180 day mark. One out of the 6 I wanted was unavailable for the time that I wanted it. The reservation system seemed to be working fine. All of my dining reservations now show up on my package reservation online & I received confirmation emails for all of them. Hopefully this means that things are on the mend.

So for those of you hopeing to make online dining reservations at your 180 day mark, don't give up. Just log on to your package reservation & give it a try. Like I said I was able to make all of my reservations without any trouble at all.

I tried this morning and was unable to do so. I was able to make the 180 day but not any of the 180 + 10. I called Disney and was able to book the hard reservations. I will wait to book the others on my own in a week or two. Got all I wanted so no big deal. Glad I am going at a slow time though.

hummmmm.... That is so strange why some people are able to make dining reservations & not others. I had no problem making all of my reservations at the 180 mark + my next 7 days. I sure hope that things work out better in the future.

I don't know if it matters what browser you are using. I find that some Disney sites like Firefox better & others like IE better, go figure. Also, I had to put in that I booked through a travel agent. Don't know if that matters either.

By the way - Lazanya - That is such a cute photo. I love Guinea Pigs & that is just what they wound like too. lol

I don't get it either. Last year people were complaining about the reservation system too. But it worked like it should for me last year. This year, not so much. Not a big deal though. I will say that I noticed when I attempted to reserve yesterday, the calendar selection only showed available dates 10/21/2012. After 10/21/2012 the dates were greyed ou. When I checked today, the calendar showed available dates through 11/1/2012. But, if I selected any date after 10/22/2012, I was told I needed to confirm I was a resort guest for the 180 + 10. When I enetered confirmation information and updated the checkin date, I was denied. Oh well.

ETA: I thought it might be a browser thing too. So, I tried firefox and IE yesterday and each did the same thing.

I'm glad it worked. I cross my fingers when I use the system. I made mine a while ago, but it worked fine then. Since then I've nothing positive.
