I was doing a bit of tweaking on our upcoming September WDW trip, and was on the phone with Jake at Disney Vacations, when he pointed out that 1. I am coming down in September...2. I am staying at a Deluxe Resort....but 3. I wasn't taking advantage of free dining on the Dining Plan!
We are blessed to be able to spend $ on our WDW jaunts, are huge foodies, and usually do not get the Dining Plan....so it slipped my mind that we are going down when this offer is in place!
I did the math....we will be saving a whopping....ready?.....$1300 by using the plan!!! We will still probably spend around $1700 on dining, but wow! There are five of us....four on adult menu and one child. If you have seen my plans, I will be down for 10 days, staying at Contemporary, and do a ton of table service dining....not to mention are doing Chef Mickey twice, Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus for dinner! Way to go Jake!
I would look at upgrade to deluxe dining....which will give you more table service meals, 2 snacks and it also includes appetizers for lunch & dinner. It saves us a boatload of money too. We are foodies love the breaks that table service meals give us and we love appetizers.
