Which would you cancel?

I hope this is the right spot to ask this question. If not, please forgive me.

So, I was looking over my ADR list for our October trip. I like everything that we have set up, but I'm seeing that one day is going to be impossible to keep all of the ADR's.

We have an ADR for Crystal Palace scheduled for 8:10 a.m. Then, we have a lunch ADR for Biergarten at 12:45.

I'm thinking about canceling the ADR for the Crystal Palace because we have done it before and are doing it earlier in the week for dinner. We love it, but logistically I'm not sure if they are both doable. We have never done Biergarten and I've heard quite a few good reviews about it and would love to give it a try. Given a choice, I would probably cancel CP and keep the Biergarten one.

So, my question is this: Given a choice, which one would you keep and which one would you cancel? Or alternately, do you think that they are both doable? DH is worried that we won't have time to do anything at MK before we have to leave for our ADR at Biergarten. I'm starting to think that he's correct, but before I canceled one of them I wanted to see what everyone thought here.

TIA....

You wouldn't have much time to do a lot at MK but you could do a ride or two. You should be able to get out of breakfast by about 9 if you're lucky and if you allow an hour to get from one park to the other which is what I would recommend as the latest you leave MK, even if you use the monorail (we've taken the monorail just to the GF and had it take us 25 minutes to get there). That would give you from 9 to about 11:30 to do some rides. So it is doable (don't forget you have to have park hopper tickets though to go from one park to the other).

Would you be hungry for both meals though that close together?? I think that might be the more appropriate question. I know we're large eaters to begin with but we wouldn't be able to do it. So having said everything I've said, I would skip the breakfast and go to the lunch at Biergarten, especially since you said you have another meal at CP during your stay.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. We like to eat, but it's kind of close together and I would hate to either not be in the mood to eat or eat and then feel terrible afterwards. I'm leaning towards canceling the breakfast.

They are both buffets, so I think the ADRs are too close together. You'll still be full from breakfast when it is time to sit down for lunch. If you have never eaten at Biergarten and you already will be eating at CP earlier in the week, I would keep Biergarten.
Have fun!

Another option is to try for Beirgarten for dinner, rather than lunch. That will give you plenty of time to enjoy MK, make your way to EPCOT, and work up an appetite!

Have a magical trip!

If you dont' have anything pressing for dinner, I would try to move the Biergarten lunch to the latest possible lunch time, and keep both.

I would go with Biergarten. We have done both; I just find Crystal Palace to be so hectic and loud. Biergarten seemed more relaxing. The music is great - my son was four when we went and he went down to the dance floor to dance. You do sit with other people if your party is not large. I was nervous about that since I am very shy, but it ended up being fun. If you like beer, the liters are great (and they make for a fun picture). The buffet has some German food on it that might not be familiar, but even my picky son was able to find stuff he liked. And the Potato Leek Soup and the desserts are delicious!

Can you move Biergarten to dinner? If so I would do that and keep the CP breakfast too. If not, I would cancel the CP breakfast.

I'd have to agree with the other posters - either move Biergarten to dinner - or cancel CP. I love CP, but if you are already there at another time, you'll still get to see the characters.

I want to thank everyone for their input! I was leaning towards canceling CP. We love it, but we are doing it earlier in our stay.

I would move Biergarten to dinner, but we have a late ADR for San Angel in. A must do for DH & DS.

Thanks again for confirming what I had been thinking all along.

Move Biergarten to dinner. They only have Sauerbraten at dinner time and that is the main reason why we go to Biergarten. If you need to leave it for lunch I would cancel breakfast at CP.

I have many fond memories at Biergarten and pictures of my kids dancing. Be sure to get to the Biergarten ADR...if you are getting CP in earlier in your week, than I would cancel it.

Be sure the entertainment is there for lunch though...a previous poster said that entertainment at Biergarten is only at dinner. We usually do Biergarten just before IllumiNations, so I can't say I've been there for lunch. You may want to move the time to evening and then you can keep both!

Entertainment started at 1 PM when we were there. The previous poster said that Sauerbraten is only at dinner - that is a roasted beef dish.

I would suggest you do the above if you can and want to do both but if not since you have done Crystal Palace, cancel that and do Biergarten.
