are ribs off the menu at Cosmic Rays?

Just was perusing at the menues on All Ears--updated 4/12 Cosmic Rays has no chicken/rib combo plate listed anymore. Can anyone dispute or verify this from a recent visit? TIF!

I read on a blog that the chicken/rib combo plate is no longer available for lunch but is still being offered for dinner (after 4:00, I believe).

I was not planning on going to parks but it looks like ribs are off the menu. I know that the February menu at WDW Magic was correct and it had ribs. They added a chicken sandwich. I believe these changes to be correct.

Disneyland was fun with flag retreat and pickles. I have a home here, thank you. GAC is NOT a "front of the line pass".

She is gone but keeping signature. Laundry is getting done. My purpose in life is to help poor people in FL. Farewell, will miss you.

I sure hope this is right because this is my favorite meal to share with my dd. I eat the ribs she eats the chicken and the string beans are very yummy. I usually eat the mashed potatoes and we buy a side of fries. It's a really great deal as a cs credit

Josh @ easywdw.com confirmed via Twitter on 4/25 that the chicken & ribs combo was still on the new "dinner" menu (after 4:00) at Cosmic Rays. I thought he had posted pictures of the new lunch and dinner menus there but I can't find them (I might have been thinking of a different website for the pictures). So when he was there on 4/25, they were definitely still on the menu but only for dinner. If I find the pictures, I'll post the link.

Here it is:

Princesses, Orange Bird, Storybook Circus, Construction, small world, Sweet Potato, Haunted Mansion, Beef Nachos – Magic Kingdom 4/25/12 Part 2

He doesn't show a picture of the dinner menu, just the lunch menu from the bay where they normally sell the ribs from. (For those not familiar with Cosmic Ray's, they have three bays that have different menus.)

....perhaps some bean-counter at Disney discovered that it was TOO good of a deal as a CS credit?

.....to say that I'm more than a little bummed out about this is an understatement. The chicken & rib combo was my go-to lunch...all the time when at Cosmic Rays.

I too thought that Disney figured out that it was a great deal and took it off. Not only is it a good deal it's very yummy

We would be very disappointed at this news DD and I love the rib pltter and it really was a great deal! Plus we would be more likely to have lunch at Cosmic Rays than dinner . . .

....I think Disney figured that out...hence the combo plate's absence on the lunch-time menu

Back from MK and they do have the ribs only at night. Actually this probably has nothing to do with cost. Imagine 10 pm noshing on ribs compared to a hot day and noshing at noon. If they were saving money then they would have terminated all ribs. I believe it has to do with how many ribs were made and sold at certain hours. At dinner time this is one of the few late hour eateries. If they make up a batch of ribs they will be gone by end of night.

Last night I was with a coordinator and his shadow when two managers walked by us and ignored us. I was told that they were xxx, forget the name, and they are to walk through the restaurant to see how it is doing. What are people ordering, how are the lines moving, cleanliness, and other factors are looked at then like ghosts on a foggy night they are gone. i never seen manager move so fast in and out in stealth mode. If they or the bean counters see that something is not selling enough they could terminate the item.

If Disney wanted to save money they could have 86 all ribs.
