I was making some last minute changes to our dining plans (we leave Thursday for the world!!) and thinking of Big River Grille. I realized it doesn't take reservations. Does anyone have any experience/thoughts on the wait time? We're thinking of going next Tuesday after a day at AK. Good food? Good use of table service meal?
We've gone the week after Thanksgiving the last 2 trips, and we were able to get a table in less than 10 minutes each time. The food is pretty good btw. It's a lot easier tha Beaches & Cream (which also doesn't take reservations), which is not far away
We also have eaten there several times and never had a very long wait at all. (I think the longest was maybe 15-20 min) The food is great, and if you like meatloaf they have the best on WDW prop, IMO.

We recently returned from Boardwalk where my DH said he'd like to try it some time. I think he liked the idea of a casual place he could get a cold beer.
We were there a couple years ago and it was very good. We call the resturant direct and was able to get a reservation. You might try that and see if its still possible.
You're welcome! I subscribe to their newsletter so that's the only reason I remembered that review! They send an email every day. At lunch time. Coincidence? I learn lots of restaurant info that way!

We ate here 2 years ago and it was good. We then were staying at the BC last may and wanted to eat there again no long waits but food and service were terrible and we will not be going back.
This is one of our "backup" plan restaurants. We had been hoping that Be Our Guest would be open for our Oct. trip, so we left a slot open. We are considering Big River Grille because we're staying at YC, so it will be very convenient to have a late lunch before heading back to our room to change before heading to MNSSHP.
So now you'll have to come back and let us know what you thought of it.
