I was just looking at our itinerary and was wondering if you guys have any suggestions for good CS places at the Boardwalk. We are on the DDP.
This year, we're spending our first 3 days OUTSIDE the parks to catch the stuff we didn't see last time. One of those days will be at the Boardwalk. We have dinner reservations at Kouzzina's. However, I don't know if there are CS places for us to go for lunch.
When you are at the Boardwalk, where do YOU go for lunch?
This, to me, is the only real problem with BW. I'm not a fan of the sandwiches at the bakery, and there's zero inside seating for CS food if the weather's bad. The pizza window at Kouzzina or hot-dog/chicken wagon are, I think, the best of the limited CS choices. The hot-dog cart is not Disney-owned, though, so you can't use the dining plan there. Dinner at BW is not a problem at all.
This was my biggest complaint when I stayed at BWI. Finding QS places was tough, and when you found food, you had to sit outside and eat. When we visited it was 100 degrees outside. The bakery has a limited menu and always seems crowded. I don't think it's on the dining plan, but ESPN might be an option for lunch.
You could always walk around the lake to the Beach Club Marketplace, still not a huge selection for a CS, but much better than the bakery in my opinion.

We also found it difficult finding a place to sit and eat without going in ESPN and Kouzzina. It was also raining the time we were there. BW itself has a small sitting area with a small selection of snacks.
Since your on the Dining Plan you can't go wrong with something from the Boardwalk Bakery and the Boardwalk Pizza Window.
However if you don't mind spending out of pocket I would also recommend Boardwalk To Go. Even though they are not owned and operated by WDW, their prices are very fair and reasonable. For example when you order a Cheeseburger Basket that includes French Fries and a drink of your choice.
You don't get that type of deals at Quick Service locations operated by WDW if your not on the Dining Plan.
we stayed at BW and had a CS meal at poolside at stomalong bay forgot the name , but as for BW the bakery is awesome if there is a no calorie count we have had the pizza nothing to talk about but it is something we have had lunch a few time at ESPN cafe that was good but i think it is TS credit if i remember
